My Dream,My Future

When I was in Elementary, I am dreaming of becoming a professional nurse someday, I'm dreaming of becoming a nurse someday because I want to help the doctor incuring the patients. But when i entered Highschool, it already changed, because I know that becoming a nurse in the future is not easy as what we are expecting for. nowthat I am highschool, I am dreaming of becoming a professional business woman someday, bacause this is also the course that I am going to take when I enter already a college Level. I want this dream to be impossible so that I can help my family. I want this dream to be impossible also because inthe future I want to have my own business, house and many things that I don't have right now. In order to make this dream come true or impossible, I will study hard, strive harder and have faith in God until My Dream, My Future has alredy granted.

Change:It Starts With me

"Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan", as stated by our National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. As they say that we are the hope of our country, as a teenager, I want also to have some changes in our country like giving an appropriate work for those who have finished a degree courses, because even if you graduate with the degree courses that you have taken up when you're college, if you don't have a work on that it's useless andit doesn't mean that if you graduated already is enough, that you don't have to look up for a job that fits with you. You have to look and look for a job that fits with you,so thatyou can use you're course that you have taken up. I want to give them a work for them to have a better life and I want also that they will become a professional someday in the near future.

Kannawidan The Ylocos Festival

On this 16th anniversary of Kannawidan, we have enough reason to be proud and happy because we are reaping the fruits of the seed we planted many years ago. Kannawidan has lived up to its m ission and vision, that of preserving and perpetuating the rich Iloco cultural, artistic, historical and intellectual heritage. We take great pride in our coffee table book "Ili A Nasudi" which we published more than one and half years ago. We are overwhelmed with many positive impressions of fellow Ilocanos who have seen and read the book. It has found its way in the homes of "kailians", friends and relatives here and abroad while a number of copies are now with the DepEd, Ilocos Norte, which they intend to use as a reference book.
For this reason, we are inspired to embark on another gigantic task, that of publishing a coffee table book on Ilocano Music. We have chosen "AWENG" as our anniversary theme to echo our desire to revive cherished values, traditions and practices showing the truespirit of Ilocano. We have started our research and documentation of Ilocano Folk songs, "Zarzuela", "Tapat", "Dal-lot", "Duay-ya" and even spoken rhymes and riddles or "Burbutia" in Ilocano, in the different towns of Ilocos Norte, put them in book form, pass them on to our children, a priceless legacy, for they are time-honored traditions, practices and way of life of our forebears.
We are very happy that Kannawidan gatherings have always been a venue for Ilocanos, relations and friends, sharing and exchanging thoughts, views and insights on how to preserve and perpetuate are beautiful customs and traditions. May I enjoin Ilocanos, to work as one in the spirit of unity all in pursuit of the worthy projects Kannawidan and for love of our culture and arts.

Equal Rights Equal Oppurtunities

Discrimination towards women and girls, or what is known as gender-based discrimination, is one of the most pervasive human rights violations. It severely limits the ability of women, girls and the communities they live in to protect and promote their health.
Gender-based discrimination is irrevocably connected to negative health outcomes for women and girls. Its associated poor health outcomes are often compounded by other forms of inequality related to socioeconomic status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation or geographical location. While these challenges are imposing, and often encoded in "normalized" ways of living, International Women's Day renews our commitment to denounce violations in human rights and to challenge unequal systems, structures and practices that perpetuate health inequalities across the world.

Responding on Climate Change

Climate change is predicted to result in longer and warmer irrigation seasons and increase the risk of drought (external link). Implementing water conservation projects on our own facilities and water conservation education offers immediate and long-term benefits.Reclaimed water is a possible water resource for non-drinking water uses. We have an operating reclaimed water program near South Treatment Plant and have invested in a reclaimed water distribution system that is under construction for the Brightwater Treatment Plant. Reclaimed water is an excellent source of water for irrigation, industrial processes, groundwater recharge and stream augmentation. A comprehensive plan on the future outlook of reclaimed water is underway.

All of us have an our own hero, our hero can be our parents, friends, classmates, taecher, cartoon characters and etc. For me, my hero is my teacher. I choose my teacher as my hero because they are the one who teaches us for what is wrong and what is right. They are also the one who molds us to be a better person in the near future. Our teachers served as our second parents here in our school. The teachers also teaches their students a good conduct in order that their students will be good. I am very thankful that we have a great teachers like them. Our teachers in our school are bright and intelligent. I an also very lucky to have them because they give patience, love, care and support to their students. Teachers are also very good in teaching the students. I choose him as my hero because my mother is showing me a good trait like helping others in thier work, she is not showing bad traits to me because she wants me to becime a good girl. I choose also my mother as my own hero because she knows what's wrong and what's right for me. My mother is always there for me. She is always there for me to support, to love, to guide and to care for me. I love my mother very much even though I got angry with her sometimes and even though she is scolding me, still I love her very much because scolding me with my mother is a sign that she love's me a lot, that's why I choose my mother as my hero.
