My Dream,My Future

When I was in Elementary, I am dreaming of becoming a professional nurse someday, I'm dreaming of becoming a nurse someday because I want to help the doctor incuring the patients. But when i entered Highschool, it already changed, because I know that becoming a nurse in the future is not easy as what we are expecting for. nowthat I am highschool, I am dreaming of becoming a professional business woman someday, bacause this is also the course that I am going to take when I enter already a college Level. I want this dream to be impossible so that I can help my family. I want this dream to be impossible also because inthe future I want to have my own business, house and many things that I don't have right now. In order to make this dream come true or impossible, I will study hard, strive harder and have faith in God until My Dream, My Future has alredy granted.

Change:It Starts With me

"Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan", as stated by our National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. As they say that we are the hope of our country, as a teenager, I want also to have some changes in our country like giving an appropriate work for those who have finished a degree courses, because even if you graduate with the degree courses that you have taken up when you're college, if you don't have a work on that it's useless andit doesn't mean that if you graduated already is enough, that you don't have to look up for a job that fits with you. You have to look and look for a job that fits with you,so thatyou can use you're course that you have taken up. I want to give them a work for them to have a better life and I want also that they will become a professional someday in the near future.

Kannawidan The Ylocos Festival

On this 16th anniversary of Kannawidan, we have enough reason to be proud and happy because we are reaping the fruits of the seed we planted many years ago. Kannawidan has lived up to its m ission and vision, that of preserving and perpetuating the rich Iloco cultural, artistic, historical and intellectual heritage. We take great pride in our coffee table book "Ili A Nasudi" which we published more than one and half years ago. We are overwhelmed with many positive impressions of fellow Ilocanos who have seen and read the book. It has found its way in the homes of "kailians", friends and relatives here and abroad while a number of copies are now with the DepEd, Ilocos Norte, which they intend to use as a reference book.
For this reason, we are inspired to embark on another gigantic task, that of publishing a coffee table book on Ilocano Music. We have chosen "AWENG" as our anniversary theme to echo our desire to revive cherished values, traditions and practices showing the truespirit of Ilocano. We have started our research and documentation of Ilocano Folk songs, "Zarzuela", "Tapat", "Dal-lot", "Duay-ya" and even spoken rhymes and riddles or "Burbutia" in Ilocano, in the different towns of Ilocos Norte, put them in book form, pass them on to our children, a priceless legacy, for they are time-honored traditions, practices and way of life of our forebears.
We are very happy that Kannawidan gatherings have always been a venue for Ilocanos, relations and friends, sharing and exchanging thoughts, views and insights on how to preserve and perpetuate are beautiful customs and traditions. May I enjoin Ilocanos, to work as one in the spirit of unity all in pursuit of the worthy projects Kannawidan and for love of our culture and arts.
